Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is a full contact combat sport that blends techniques from Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Boxing, Muay Thai and Wrestling enabling you to both strike and grapple with your opponent whilst standing and on the ground. ABC Boxing (AMATEUR)

At 4 Corners ABC boxing, we provide a safe environment for competitive boxers to train and compete in the sport of amateur boxing, by teaching boxing skills that help your discipline, respect, honour, self-control and a healthy life style.

Our aim is to make the amazing benefits of boxing accessible to everyone from complete beginners to serious fighters looking to get in the ring. Our team of professional trainers will use their vast experience to help you achieve this at 4 Corner Gym.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a martial art that revolves around grappling and ground fighting. Most of the techniques focus on taking your opponent to the ground where you can control and work to submit them – making them tap out. BJJ promotes the idea that a smaller, weaker person can use leverage, grip, knowledge, position plus tactical skills and problem solving to successfully defend against a bigger, stronger assailant by successfully applying a range of techniques like chokeholds and joint locks.

Sparring/rolling is included in the majority of our classes as it enables students to put what they’ve learnt to the test and many of our members participate in BJJ competitions.

Boxing & Conditioning

4 Corner gym keeps the class fun and functional, this workout helps tone and fine-tune major muscle groups for strength and total-body coordination. A muscular endurance workout incorporating combat sport movement. Ideal for fighters or combat enthusiasts looking to improve overall fitness. Instructors always keep it fresh with a range of equipment and motivating challenges.

Kids Boxing

4 Corners Youth Boxing boxing class teaches basic boxing skills and techniques such as; stance, guard, movement, jab, cross, hook. It increases strength and improves endurance. Youth Boxing class will include cardio calisthenics, shadow boxing, bag work, partner drills, pad work and core strengthening exercises. These skills will give kids self-defense tools as well as self-confidence while keeping them physically fit.  This class is for 5yrs and above.

MMA Fighters Class

At 4 Corner MMA fighters class, you will join a gym where all the athletes spend their time mastering their skills and working on their technique. You will be surrounded by other MMA fighters who are also focused on the same goal as you.

Kids MMA

Kids will learn in a fun and safe environment the basics of MMA. Over time they will learn self confidence, respect and improve their overall health. They will learn to not be bullied or to be a bully. Pad work, skill techniques and martial art games are covered in this class.

MMA Striking

At 4 Corners MMA Striking you will learn how to close vulnerable points and cover up when you’re under fire in a fight. Our Striking classes focus on all elements of striking within MMA; offencive punching, kicking and foot work, as well as defensive techniques utilising your arms, legs, body position and foot work.

OPEN MAT BJJ

Open mat time is a time when you can come into 4 Corners gym, there is no set class, but the mats are “Open” for you and your teammates to use.

Sparring

If you are training for a fight or just want to to practice your technique, members interested in sparring can join the sparring classe or organize private sessions with other members at similar skill and enthusiasm levels. If you are interested in controlled/instructional sparring, let us know or join our Friday Sparring class.
