Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is a full contact combat sport that blends techniques from Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Boxing, Muay Thai and Wrestling enabling you to both strike and grapple with your opponent whilst standing and on the ground. ABC Boxing Club (AMATEUR)

At 4 Corners ABC boxing, we provide a safe environment for competitive boxers to train and compete in the sport of amateur boxing, by teaching boxing skills that help your discipline, respect, honour, self-control and a healthy life style.

Our aim is to make the amazing benefits of boxing accessible to everyone from complete beginners to serious fighters looking to get in the ring. Our team of professional trainers will use their vast experience to help you achieve this at 4 Corner Gym.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a martial art that revolves around grappling and ground fighting. Most of the techniques focus on taking your opponent to the ground where you can control and work to submit them – making them tap out. BJJ promotes the idea that a smaller, weaker person can use leverage, grip, knowledge, position plus tactical skills and problem solving to successfully defend against a bigger, stronger assailant by successfully applying a range of techniques like chokeholds and joint locks.

Sparring/rolling is included in the majority of our classes as it enables students to put what they’ve learnt to the test and many of our members participate in BJJ competitions.

Boxing & Conditioning

4 Corner gym keeps the class fun and functional, this workout helps tone and fine-tune major muscle groups for strength and total-body coordination. A muscular endurance workout incorporating combat sport movement. Ideal for fighters or combat enthusiasts looking to improve overall fitness. Instructors always keep it fresh with a range of equipment and motivating challenges.

Kids Muay Thai

4 Corners Muay Thai class is  perfect help young children develop balance, co-ordination, fitness and also instil confidence and discipline.

This class is great for developing basic Muay Thai technique, fitness and basic self-defence skills. In addition, all of our classes place an emphasis on courtesy, discipline and respect. Children joining this class will build both confidence, fitness levels and useful social skills.

 

Kids Boxing

4 Corners Youth Boxing boxing class teaches basic boxing skills and techniques such as; stance, guard, movement, jab, cross, hook. It increases strength and improves endurance. Youth Boxing class will include cardio calisthenics, shadow boxing, bag work, partner drills, pad work and core strengthening exercises. These skills will give kids self-defense tools as well as self-confidence while keeping them physically fit.  This class is for 5yrs and above.

FIGHT TEAM

At 4 Corner MMA grappling, you will join a gym where all the athletes spend their time mastering their skills and working on their technique. You will be surrounded by other MMA fighters who are also focused on the same goal as you.

BEGINNERS KICKBOXING

Kickboxing is one of the most popular combat sports around the world. Kickboxing derives its name from classic boxing as it incorporates punching and other striking techniques. There are different styles of kickboxing including Dutch-style, Karate, Sanda, Kun Khmer and Muay Thai.  In this class you will be graded.

MMA Striking

At 4 Corners MMA Striking you will learn how to close vulnerable points and cover up when you’re under fire in a fight. Our Striking classes focus on all elements of striking within MMA; offencive punching, kicking and foot work, as well as defensive techniques utilising your arms, legs, body position and foot work.

Beginners Muay Thai

Muay Thai is the national sport of Thailand and a way of life for many people. Muay Thai or Thai Boxing, is one of the most widely respected forms of stand up fighting (also known as “striking”) in the world. Unlike in boxing, Muay Thai fighters can make full use of punches, elbows, kicks, knees and clinch work to neutralise their opponents. As well as a very effective fighting style Muay Thai is a lot of fun and a tremendous work-out. Our quality trainers and champion fighters are there to guide you through your training whether your goal is to fight professionally or you just want to get into shape, 4 Corner has it covered.
